1. How do I modify the domain details for update in WHOIS?
Please access your account, Click on Update WHOIS and complete the section that you would like the details to be modified.
2. Transfer of Registrar to Adicio for gTLDs (com, net, org, info and biz)
Before transferring please ensure that your domain has at least a 3 weeks period before its expiry date. If not, Adicio will not be able to perform the transfer request. You may look at your expiry date by performing a WHOIS. To find out your WHOIS details, you can type in your domain and perform a search. When it shows up, click on the WHOIS link and you will be able to view the details of your domain.
Transferring of domains only requires a few steps. Firstly click on the Transfer Domain link, and then follow the instructions guiding you through the transfer. At the point where you are verifying your details, the data input into the fields should be the same as what is shown in the WHOIS.
For .info and .biz transfer in, you will need to obtain a authorisation code from your current registrar. This is so that the registry can validate that the request is genuine.
All gTLDs transfer will incur a one year registration fees, thus your domain registration period will be extended by an additional year.
3. My web hosting company requested me to perform a redelegation. What does it mean? How do I do it?
Redelegation is a process of changing one's nameserver to another. So if your ISP or web hoster asked you to change the nameserver your domain is currently hosted on, all you need to do is email us with your request. The change should be made within a 48 hours upon receiving your request on a business day. Note: the email address must be that of the Registrant or Administrative contact.
4. When do I renew my domains?
Registration for domain names needs to be renewed based on a scheduled interval dependent on the number of years your domains have been registered. After successfully registering a domain, you will be able to see its expiry and renewal date in your account.
Our renewal process is like this, on the 90th day before expiry customers should have receives a notice from us indicating the domains that are soon to be expired. A 2nd reminder will be sent out on the 70th day. By the 3rd reminder that is on the 60th day, and no response or action has been taken to renew the domains, when you logged into your account the domains that has been greyed out would have been set to expire. Adicio would not be able to reverse the process as the request has been sent to the registry already.
Alternatively, you may renew it at any point of time well before the expiry date (applies to gTLDS only)
